John Geary is the driver for the 05 Team. The 2002 season marks the fourth year that John has been involved in racing. All four of those are with the 05 Team in a Street Stock. He has finished fourth twice ('99 and '01) and fifth once ('00) at Kankakee Motor Speedway and seventh ('99) at LaSalle Speedway in points. Prior to the 2002 season, John had racked up 12 heat race wins, one feature win (LaSalle) and even accomplished ending up on his roof once. He picked up his 1st feature win earlier this season at KMS.
John is 37 years old and resides in Kankakke with his wife Amy and their two kids Torin and Jack. His favorite driver from the past is Bob Kelly (who also drove an 05 which is where the number came from). His favorite current driver is "The Tall Cool One" Bob Pierce.
